Metallica Guitarist’s San Francisco Stunner Gets a $3M Price Chop
-
1/11Photographs Courtesy of Mark Levinson of Pacific UnionMetallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has re-listed his divine Sea Cliff manse for $13 million after the home failed to draw buyers in last year for an asking price of $16 million. The house has received a severe price chop, but Hammett still stands to make a substantial profit having purchased the property in 2005 for $5.7 million, according to Curbed. The heavy metal musician may be known for intense guitar solos, but his 4,180-square-foot coastal abode is the picture of tranquility. Neo-Classical architecture and sprawling ocean views make this circa-1922 a luxurious treasure. Hints of Hammett’s edgy taste are showcased with accented dark furnishings and eccentric pops of color. This spread, located at 308 Sea Cliff Ave, is not his only residence in the area, or more specifically, on the street. The eight-time Grammy winner seems to have enjoyed the neighborhood so much he couldn’t resist picking up another, which is just down the way at 320 Sea Cliff Ave. Hammett must be looking for a change of scenery as this home is also up for sale, but is still holding on to it’s $16 million price tag.Mark Levinson of Pacific Union is the listing agent on both 308 Sea Cliff Ave and 320 Sea Cliff Ave.Photographs Courtesy of Mark Levinson of Pacific UnionMetallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has re-listed his divine Sea Cliff manse for $13 million after the home failed to draw buyers in last year for an asking price of $16 million.
