Michael Cohen’s Tribeca Condo Found a Renter Just Before Sentencing
-
1/5Photographs Courtesy of Douglas EllimanPresident Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple financial crimes and lying to Congress. Although his life is in disarray due to his actions, which he attributed to “blind loyalty” in his apology to the judge, Cohen was finally able to find a renter for his Tribeca condo after months of struggles and price cuts. The price reduction from $25,000/month to $18,500/month in mid November seems to have done the trick, and now the 2,697-square-foot abode has a tenant renting it for $16,500/month.According to 6sqft, Cohen purchased the $6.7 million unit in July and made it available to rent in August. The lawyer’s motives for buying the pad seem to be purely financial and the purchase definitely raised eyebrows considering he had just listed a $9 million Park Avenue apartment as collateral against a bank loan.Despite the questions that surround his reasons or ability to buy this 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom perched high at 111 Murray Street, the apartment itself is beautiful. The Molteni kitchen with a Calacatta Borghini waterfall marble island is simply divine and floor-to-ceiling windows offer unparalleled views. To learn more, see the Douglas Elliman listing.Photographs Courtesy of Douglas EllimanPresident Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple financial crimes and lying to Congress.
