Michael Dell Buys $100.47M Penthouse on Billionaire Row

In 2014, a mystery buyer dropped an astounding $100.47 million on a penthouse in Extell Development’s One57, making it the most expensive home ever sold in New York City, according to the Wall Street Journal. Years later, more details of the transaction have come to light, most notably that the buyer was Michael Dell, the CEO and founder of Dell Technologies.

Perched at the top of the glass, West 57th Street building, the two-story apartment boasts six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The tech executive commissioned Miró Rivera Architects to help renovate the 10,923-square-foot space after purchasing it, but a non-disclosure agreement prohibits those involved from sharing anything about the redesign.

To sneak a peek at what the pad could look like, see how interior designer Jamie Drake designed a 4,200-square-foot model unit in the 90-story building back in 2015. High ceilings, walls of glass, and unparalleled views impress in every space, and we can only imagine how breath-taking the penthouse must be.
