There are certain celebrities who are always on the move. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and Bruce Willis and Emma Heming rank high in this category, but Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent have been listing and buying more than anyone recently. The design and real estate savvy pair just listed a Greenwich Village apartment fully furnished and now they have picked up a famous photographer’s Montauk modern for $1.6 million. Whether they decide to flip the house, as they frequently do, or keep it, the duo got quite a deal since the property first listed in 2017 for $4.35 million.Almost all the eclectic design elements you see throughout the 3,500-square-foot home can be credited to the seller, fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco. After purchasing the house in 2003, Mazzucco gutted the structure to create his vision, which is why there’s no home like this in all of the Hamptons. It has a real artist feel to it with an army green exterior, unconventional floor plan, and unusual yet beautiful details like paint splattered floors. There are also bold paintings hung throughout the interiors, and even some that grace the exterior.Creativity naturally flows here, so it will be interesting to see what Berkus and Brent decide to do with it. Their décor is known to be neutral, fresh, and elegant. While it’s unlikely they’ll keep the walls of the family room black, perhaps they will find ways to embrace the artistic, anything-goes aesthetic that seems to be in this home’s DNA.The residence comes will plenty of zen outdoor spaces that will be a breath of fresh air when the new owners blow in from New York City. A sleek pool, lily pond, and stone path up to a peaceful hilltop are all delightful.Dylan Eckardt of Nest Seekers International had the listing, which 6sqft reported sold to the celebrity couple.
