An aerial view of the 13.5-acre compound.Though they reside full-time in a Harlem townhouse, Neil Patrick Harris and his family now have an enviable summer getaway in East Hampton. Sources tell Behind the Hedges that Harris and husband David Burtka are the buyers of a 5,500-square-foot house situated on a 13.5-acre compound just two miles from East Hampton Village. The listing calls the house an “exquisite example of Hamptons luxury real estate” and notes that it was built in 2001 but sports the traditional Shingle-style façade. Inside, there are 4 en-suite bedrooms, a French chef’s kitchen, 4 fireplaces and a library. The expansive screened-in porch and upper level decks take in views of the rolling lawns and adjacent 10 acres of reserve land. Town & Country’s William Stoecker held the listing, which originally asked $7.49M and was recently reduced to $5.995M. Harris reportedly paid $5.5M.

A vaulted sun room leads out to the property. The pool is surrounded by landscaped gardens. The screened-in porch looks out over the property. A covered walkway leads to the house. The grounds include a pool.
