Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White Just Sold His Midcentury Modern in Hollywood Hills

While winter athletes are on the sidelines right now, or rather training to make their teams for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, the summer Olympians are still in the midst of competing before the closing ceremony on Sunday. Winter sport legends have been at the summer games, however, including three-time gold medalist Shaun White.

White has watched history unfold in Paris, but it seems he was also closing a real estate deal thousands of miles away at the same time. According to Mansion Global, the legendary snowboarder just sold his Hollywood Hills midcentury modern, parting with it for $3.925 million. Property records show that the retired pro athlete listed the circa-1950s beauty in April for $5 million. That means that the buyer, a retired Louis Vuitton executive, nabbed it at a discount.

Spanning roughly 1,900 square feet of light and clean interiors, the house has an effortlessly cool feel that many California midcentury moderns pull off with ease. The open spaces are wrapped in walls of glass, looking out to the large pool, open lawns, and rugged Runyon Canyon views. It has three bedrooms and just the right amount of suave space to host inside and out without it feeling too large or too compact. Which may have been perfect for White, who is currently dating actress Nina Dobrev and also told the Wall Street Journal last year that his primary residence is in Nevada.

Rick Tyberg and Lauren Duffy of Douglas Elliman represented the seller and have declined to comment on the sale. Chase Rogers of the Beverly Hills Estates represented the lucky buyer.

If you’re a midcentury modern fan and love to check out celebrity listings around L.A., there’s so much more to discover. Right now, for example, Mandy Moore’s midcentury gem is still on the market.
