Penn Badgley Asks $1.7M for a Stylish and Secluded Catskills Retreat

Two hours north of New York City in the Catskills, the mountainous region that inspired Dirty Dancing, a dreamy celebrity home is up for sale. Actor Penn Badgley, famous for his starring roles in Gossip Girl and You, and his wife, Domino Kirke-Badgley, picked up the 10.5-acre retreat a year ago and are now seeking to pass it on for $1.7 million.

Though it may seem like the pair is selling swiftly, they did a lot on the property in this short time. A place for wellness and tranquility, the Upstate New York sprawl welcomed their family and close friends and was also used for silent meditation and prayer according to Penn’s Baha’i faith. Additionally, Domino used it as a gathering spot for members of nearby communities. Meanwhile, the vegetable garden was used for teaching.

It’s easy to see why one would feel relaxed and in touch with nature here. After walking the grounds, the three-story post-and-beam home welcomes you with a wraparound porch and light-filled, eclectic spaces. With the couple’s current decor, pops of color radiate joy from the yellow chairs in the dining area to the patterned rugs and pillows. These expressive touches encourage creativity and authenticity, and so does the music performance studio up on the third floor.

With 3,402 square feet of interiors and four bedrooms, it’s an ideal size for those who wish to steal away from NYC and get out into the country. James Amburn and Angelica Ferguson of Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
