Photographer Raphael Mazzucco Lists his Montauk Home for $4.35M
World-renowned fashion photographer and artist Raphael Mazzucco has spent years perfecting his Montauk home, from the addition of a cement tub in the master bath to the creating of a koi pond in the dining room. Convinced he's finally completed the project, Mazzucco has listed the residence for $4.35 million with Dylan Eckardt of Nest Seekers International.
According to Curbed, Mazzucco purchased the home in 2003 for $920,000 and immediately got to work gutting it. It now offers 3,500 square feet of unique museum-like living.
Army green paint coats the modern home while whimsical paint splatters of all colors cover the living room floor—giving the room an art studio aesthetic. Dark walls contrast light-brown hardwood floors and striking art adorns walls in every room.
The interiors range from dark and moody to bright and natural, a nod to the artist’s unique point of view. Beyond the surface of the intriguing décor, the home contains secrets and surprises in its walls. Some paintings are actually disguised doors that open to closets and secret bedrooms.
