Rachael Ray Parts Ways with Sweet Six-Acre Southampton Retreat
TV star chef and talk show host Rachael Ray has been seeking a buyer with a taste for her Southampton estate since 2017, and now she has something to celebrate. The six-acre sanctuary is in contract for $3.25 million, which may not be the $4.9 million she originally asked three years ago, but it will still serve her a profit. Ray and her husband scooped it up for $2.6 million back in 2008, and soon it will be officially off their plate.
Owning the elegant home for over a decade, the chef certainly had to have loved the kitchen. A new owner can boast that it is Rachael Ray-approved, and who knows, maybe some of her beloved recipes were even born here.
The kitchen is far from the only bright spot. Summer is a delight here with a pool, four-room pool house, outdoor lounge areas, and sprawling grounds. Specimen gardens also sit on the property. A wonderful retreat for tranquility and fun, it’s no wonder a buyer was drawn to it during the times of COVID-19 when staying home and social distancing is the new normal. It even has a one-room structure elsewhere on the property that could become an ultra-private studio, office, or apartment.
With over 3,000-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, and five baths, the residence allows plenty of room to spread out. Self-care, family time, work, and of course, cooking, all blend effortlessly here.
In the deal, Angela Boyer Stump represented the seller and Denise Stephens represented the buyer. Both are Sotheby’s International Realty agents.
