Sandra Bullock Sells Her Beautiful Beach Home on Tybee Island

Though many look for beach homes on quaint New England shores or in trendy Malibu, the beauty of Georgia beaches is not to be overlooked. Sandra Bullock must know that, too, since she has held a picturesque oceanfront home on Tybee Island since the early 2000s. After listing the property for $6.5 million in 2019, the actress has finally sold it for $4.175 million.

Made up of a 3,360-square-foot main house that brings to mind Nights in Rodanthe and a 2,848-square-foot guesthouse for visitors to retreat to, it’s a slice of southern paradise. At the star home, there is private gated beach access, a half-basketball court, a plethora of screened-in porches, and a dazzling pool. Not to mention the treats that await inside like the home gym and game room. The top floor porch is like being atop a ship and is the supreme spot to take in ocean views. Just add water, or perhaps sweet tea.

When it comes to style, casual coastal elegance reigns. White walls, wood beams, and stylish wicker furnishings shine around every corner with palm trees always in view. There’s no question it is a dreamy place to get away for a while to read scripts, recharge, or just have some beachy fun. And with the lush landscaping and white fences, it is also A-lister-level private.

Rachel Umbreit and Ruthie Lynah-Whitlow of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty held the celebrity listing.
