The great room features soaring ceilings.Wilbur Ross, the newly approved Secretary of Commerce, is looking to let go of his lavish penthouse and it seems he is willing to take a loss on the place to do it. The Real Deal reports that Ross bought the 4-bedroom duplex in 2007 and paid $18M, but he has listed it for just $16.5M with Corcoran’s Carrie Chiang. Per the listing, the apartment features soaring ceilings—ranging from 9 feet to nearly 20—that take advantage of the abundant natural light. An 1847-square-foot terrace complements the 5,573-square-foot interior living space, which features an entertaining-ready great room, catering chef’s kitchen, and 30-seat dining room. Five wood-burning fireplaces and lacquer and silk wall treatments add an air of luxury. Ross first tried to sell this home in 2015 for $21M.
