Serena Williams Snags a Beverly Hills Pad for $6.68M
Just a week after listing her traditional Bel Air mansion for $11.995 million, Serena Williams is moving from one court-free home to another. The tennis powerhouse just purchased a much more contemporary spread in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for $6.68 million.
The Spanish-style abode is a perfect fit for her new family with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a lush backyard with a Baja pool. The 6,000-square-foot home is tucked away in a gated community and sits on a modest quarter-acre of land, according to the LA Times.
An open floor plan and crisp white walls create a bright and fresh environment throughout the home. California style shines in the kitchen with modern lighting fixtures and large Fleetwood doors that lead out to a veranda with a dining area. The spacious pad also offers luxurious finishes like Bianco Bella polished marble kitchen countertops, grass cloth wallpaper, penny round marble mosaic flooring, and custom cabinetry.
The star athlete and her family will enjoy the home's fun specialty spaces, which include a yoga room, wine cellar, and outdoor kitchen.
With all the recent real estate activity, it's clear that the new mother is happily nesting after the birth of her daughter in early September. The professional athlete's fiancée, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, sold his San Francisco home last month and since Williams’ Bel Air property is up for sale, all signs point to this Beverly Hills house becoming the family's home court.
Sam Real of Nest Seekers International had the listing.
