‘Sex and the City’ Star Picks Up a California Spread for Just Over $5 Million

1/13Photographs Courtesy of VarietyBest known for her role as Charlotte, on the beloved HBO drama, Sex and the City, Kristin Davis recently bought a secluded villa tucked away in the hills of Brentwood, California. The purchase was a savvy one, as this residence has faded on and off the market multiple times over the past few years, first listed at $7.9 million and reducing to $5.9 million most recently. Davis was able to scoop this property up for just $5.29 million, and though the actress will surely add plenty of personal touches to the space, her starting point is a 1980s Mediterranean base to which the sky is the limit. The home is both private and secure, safely nestled behind a high wall and towering wrought iron gate. Plenty of older pine trees surround the property, but these shouldn’t deter from the panoramic views of the canyon. The villa itself consists of 6,500-square-feet of space, a ballroom-sized living room surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass doors on three sides, ample-ceilinged foyer and a carved stone fireplace. Barrel-vaulted ceilings in the kitchen offer a great canopy over the shiny black countertops and doublewide center island, making for a great place to congregate. While sizable with 4/5 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a wet bar and a den/library, the décor of this airy abode is hardly what we would expect of posh Charlotte. However, it definitely has the bones to become a gorgeous escape after some strategic updates. In the back of the house, there is no shortage of tranquility, as the loggia is perfect for relaxing with a classic Sex and the City cosmo. There’s also a sizeable swimming pool and spa alongside a tiled terrace. The purchase was first reported by Variety and they claim it was listed with The Agency.Photographs Courtesy of VarietyBest known for her role as Charlotte, on the beloved HBO drama, Sex and the City, Kristin Davis recently bought a secluded villa tucked away in the hills of Brentwood, California.
