Teddi Mellencamp Nabs a Modern Farmhouse-Style Home in Encino
Just one month after listing her haven in Hollywood Hills for $5.995 million, Teddi Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave have found new digs in a far less flashy neighborhood. The life coach and reality star, who recently left the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, seems to be distancing herself from the stomping grounds of her former show in favor of the lower-key Valley. That’s not to say her new house isn’t as glamorous as the last—in fact, with a price tag of $6.49 million, Mellencamp inarguably upgraded. Located in easygoing Encino, the modern farmhouse is a perfect reset.
Surrounded by mature ficus trees and guarded by a gate, Mellencamp’s new manse is first introduced by the expansive motor court. The sleek 8,550-square-foot residence includes 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, all crisp and white with 24-foot ceilings and wide-plank oak wood floors. Light, dark, and natural wood finishes throughout contrast the airy brightness, creating a stylish atmosphere at once complex and easy.
Practically a resort, the property counts a putting green, basketball court, and pool and spa amongst its amenities. A cascade of dining and lounging terraces surround the pool, while a massage room and cabana with a fireplace sit poolside. Perhaps as Mellencamp parts ways with the drama-filled show and moves into this gorgeous spread, she’ll be thinking that this life and house transition ‘Hurts So Good.’
The Agency handled this sale on both sides. George Ouzounian and Gina Michelle held the listing, while Mauricio Umansky and Farrah Brittany represented Mellencamp.
