The Grey Gardens Estate Just Got a $2M Price Cut

The legendary Grey Gardens estate.After hitting the market for $19.995M in February, the legendary Grey Gardens estate—made famous by The Maysles Brothers' 1975 documentary entitled Grey Gardens and photographed exclusively for HC&G's June 2012 issue —has gotten a $2M price cut and now asks $17.995M.

Sally Quinn and her husband, late Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee bought the then-decrepit, crumbling structure from its previous residents, “Big Edie” Bouvier Beale and “Little Edie” Beale 30 years ago and restored it completely, including furnishing much of the home with the Beales' furniture that was left in the attic.
