The Obama Family Picks Up Martha's Vineyard Property for $14.85M
Reported just last month, the Obama clan seems to be making a huge stamp on Martha’s Vineyard with their recent purchase. Set on 29-acres, the property was listed for a whopping $14.85 million.
First rented this summer by Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck, the businessman finally handed off the property to the former First Family, leaving behind the 7,000-square-foot mansion and its expansive amounts of un-touched woodsy lands. The home can truly be considered a getaway for the Obama family now, with accessibility only from a boat or plane.
As for the interiors of the estate, the Obama house must be following ‘the more the merrier’ term with seven bedrooms in its layout and two guest wings. Rooms for entertaining include a dining room encompassed by windows and a large fireplace for gathering.
Despite whom the family may be inviting over to their vacation home, it’ll be hard for any rubbernecking with the abundance of land surrounding the property. When family and guests do arrive, they’ll be able to take full advantage of the natural surroundings located around Edgartown Great Pond, for kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, and crabbing.
