‘The Office’ Star Rainn Wilson Lists a Dwight-Worthy Farm Near LA
The only thing quirky, beet-obsessed Dwight Schrute from The Office loved more than Battlestar Galactica or being assistant to the regional manager was tending to his farm. It seems the actor who played him so perfectly, Rainn Wilson, also has a penchant for farm life. Wilson’s charming California farm in LA County is full of terraces, mature trees, and structures for livestock, although Mose is nowhere in sight. The idyllic oasis where beets can grow aplenty is now listed for almost $1.7 million.
Of course, embodying Dwight’s thoroughness, the property covers all the bases of an upstanding farm. It has a barn, hay storage, tack facilities, and grounds for gardening or keeping animals. The works.
Some glitzy elements that might throw the beet farmer off, but are utterly divine additions, include the modern detached office space with skylights and all the luxury finishes throughout the three-bedroom main house. Thankfully, it skips the odd irrigation décor Dwight found appealing at his B&B and even has queen and king beds.
The main house does offer some antique flair. You’ll find a vintage stove in the kitchen and a claw tub in the tranquil owner’s suite with a private balcony. With fireplaces for winter and tons of outdoor spaces to enjoy for summer, it’s a relaxing year-round retreat.
Close to Malibu, the farmtastic Agoura Hills spread has a more glamorous location than Scranton, Pennsylvania, but it would surely be Schrute-approved. It is listed with Gary Ruebsamen And Traci Eiler of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.
