The 'Wolf of Wall Street' House Lists for $3.4M
The “Wolf of Wall Street” Jordan Belfort—who was depicted by Leonardo DiCaprio in the Martin Scorcese flick of the same name—led his notoriously lavish lifestyle at an 8,706-square-foot mansion at 5 Pin Oak Road in Old Brookville, which has recently come on the market asking $3.4M. The federal government sold the house in 2001 to pay back some of the $110M Belfort owed to his fraud victims.
According to the listing, the home has maintained its grand-scale entertaining readiness, but has been transformed by the current owners into a gracious and inviting family home. Inside, a double-height entry foyer features a harlequin designed marble floor and a circular staircase that ascends the turret. A ballroom-sized sunken living room is part of the “entertainment complex,” where there is also a den, lounge and billiards room. Outside, a bluestone terrace spans the rear of the house and overlooks the swimming pool and pool house. Douglas Elliman’s Regina Rogers represents the listing, which was reported by Page Six.
