This Lavish Atlanta Mansion Built by Tyler Perry Is the Most Expensive Home for Sale in Georgia

Though many real estate agencies describe their listings as being the “ultimate” in some form of luxury, few can be definitively classified as such. When a property becomes the most expensive in its entire state, however, it can surely lay claim to such a bold descriptor. Asking $25 million, this newly-listed estate built and once lived in by Tyler Perry is now the ultimate in exorbitant in all of Georgia.

Should the mansion sell at this price, it would break its own record of $17.5 million, which was set when Perry sold it in 2016. The famous actor/producer built the home from the ground up, investing a reported $40 million into the construction of the gargantuan, 34,688-square-foot structure, which is situated on a 37-acre lot. Amenities include a tennis court, which sits atop a ballroom, as well as a sauna and steam room.

Its current owners, televangelist David Turner and wife Jennifer, renovated the house extensively, with listing agent Chase Mizell of Atlanta Fine Homes telling Mansion Global the estate is like a “five-star hotel.” Among the brand new additions and updates by the Turners are a a home theater, 70,000-gallon infinity pool, indoor resistance pool, outdoor batting cages, and a separate guest house.

Tyler Perry is no stranger to dominating the real estate game, as he recently flipped a modern L.A. mansion in six months and sold it to “Happy” singer Pharrell for a sweet profit.
