Tour a Colorfully Updated Greenfield Hill Farmhouse

The antique campaign table is flanked by custom club chairs in Cowtan & Tout’s Fragonard.

In the dining room, a Jansen chinoiserie pagoda chandelier centers above a David Iatesta table and antique Swedish chairs covered in a vinyl faux snakeskin. Acrylic chairs offer a whimsical touch. The pink silk taffeta drapes from the Silk Road Collection pick up a hint of pink in Osborne & Little’s Bird Cage metallic wallpaper.

The well-designed living room also doubles as a kid-friendly family room. Annie Mahoney designed a pair of barrel chairs, which are smaller than average but can easily accommodate a man’s larger frame. The mantel is painted a pale blue; custom sofas flank an oversized ottoman covered in a playful animal print by Cowtan & Tout’s. The fabric on a pair of French chairs is China Seas ZeZe from Quadrille. Pillows in a variety of patterns add vibrant accents.

Just off the kitchen, the sun-filled family room sports a pair of Deco-era hide chairs that have a retro feel. The sofa and ottoman, all done in a Norbar outdoor fabric, and the blue and green pillows in a Kravet fabric are from Good Goods in Darien. “This is where the kids live,” says the designer. The white linen window treatments are a breezy touch.

The designer chose an apple-green print by Carleton V to cover the library walls; the bookshelves and ceiling are done in Farrow & Ball’s Polka Square. The children use the custom back-to-back chair for reading and lounging; the olive and jewel tones of the silk strie window treatment add a playful twist.

The master bedroom’s blue zebra headboard by Travers plays off the pale blue walls; the orange accent pillows are a Veneto print from Quadrille, and the Matouk Euro shams are monogrammed with “Nite Nite.”

In a little girl’s room, high gloss Benjamin Moore Frosted Petal walls provide the perfect backdrop for a pink petite-check silk window treatment. Headboard fabric is China Seas through Quadrille.

For the girl’s bathroom, the designer selected a fun Brunschwig & Fils animal print; the textured twig mirror is from Carver’s Guild.

In the master bedroom’s sitting area, where a charcoal portrait by Connecticut artist, Claudia Mengel holds center stage, the custom club chair and ottoman are covered in a John Rosselli print. The window seat has the same faux snakeskin as the dining room chairs.
