Tour the Only Zaha Hadid-Designed Home in the World

Before visionary architect Zaha Hadid passed away suddenly in 2016, she designed only one house. Now recently completed, the extraordinary, borderline extraterrestrial structure is a true architectural wonder located on the hillsides of a forest outside Moscow. Billionaire Vladislav Doronin owns the house dubbed ‘Capital Hill Residence’ and worked with Hadid to make it his dream home. Made up of two main components that look like three ship decks, the manse resembles a spaceship from a Star Wars movie.

The top level, which solely houses the luxurious master suite, towers over trees as Doronin had said, “I want to wake up in the morning and just see blue sky.” The architect granted that wish and more with the secluded, treetop getaway.According to American Luxury, the modern interiors offer LED lighting, pale hardwood floors, and clean white walls. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for ample natural light and connect the unique house to the lush landscape with never-ending views.Although Hadid only designed one home in her career, it will be part of her legacy along with the many striking skyscrapers she gifted to the world. The Western Hemisphere only has a few of her praised treasures. The One Thousand Museum in Miami is one of them and is scheduled to be completed this year.
