Designed by Alex Alonso, an episode winner of Bravo’s “Best Room Wins,” this quirky Miami Beach home is bringing unique style to the market for $1.39 million. Alonso, labeling himself as a “maximalist,” gave this home a funky spin on both Mediterranean and Art Deco style, otherwise known as “Med-Deco.”

Set on a quiet closed street on Espanola Way, this residence is also listed in the National Historic Register since it was built in 1936 by architect Hary O. Nelson. The “Med-Deco” trend is a common theme throughout the homes in this historical area. When Alonso renovated the 1,336-square-feet of interior space and chic outdoor area, he had boldness in mind crafting a custom layout for new buyers yet also keeping true to the home’s original character. The tile flooring, beamed ceilings, and Art Deco fireplace have all been carefully restored and used to complement Alonso’s design.

Custom finishes are spread throughout the home including Italian-style cabinetry and closets, wood herringbone floors, and a modern pool with a manicured patio. The abode also includes custom furnishings and curated artwork picked by the talented designer and sprinkled throughout the 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath space.
