Whoopi Goldberg’s Former Pacific Palisades Home Asks $9.6M

Nearly two years after The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg parted ways with her longtime Pacific Palisades home after listing it for $8.8 million, that same property is back on the market. Now asking $9.595 million, the charming 1933-built abode seems to have undergone a few significant changes since it last hit the market.

The addition of a bedroom and bathroom gives the residence a new total of 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. Still configured in the same 7,039-square-footprint, the property’s Hollywood pedigree remains intact as well. Goldberg owned the LA home from 1993 to 2018, so it is certainly not used to changing hands so frequently. Long before her, the special ivy-covered manse belonged to author Vicki Baum and later English actor David Niven. Needless to say, its historic and now-refreshed interiors are used to holding famous figures.

The black and white tiles in the entryway and kitchen appear untouched, although the kitchen itself has been extensively remodeled with the addition of a gorgeous island. Other preserved spaces in the “Streamline Moderne” style abode include a master bathroom outfitted in onyx and a separate guesthouse.

With a swimming pool in the back, this property ticks every box for an LA celebrity home and has more than a pinch of Hollywood glamour. The only question is, which star might snap it up next? Dan Urbach of Compass has the listing.
