Winona Ryder’s Longtime San Fran Home Finds a Buyer in Five Days
You may know her from Edward Scissorhands, Girl, Interrupted, or more recently Stranger Things. A Hollywood icon, Winona Ryder is definitely no stranger to the big screen or California living. According to Variety, Ryder purchased this three-level townhouse on one of the most coveted blocks in Cow Hollow, San Francisco for a mere $1.3 million in 1995. In early November, the actress listed her longtime home for $4.995 million. It was merely a hop, skip and a jump before the Dutch colonial went into contract, receiving two offers and backup interest after just five days on the market.
So, what about this abode has buyers in such a frenzy? Well, the spaces are simply sublime. The main floor holds a spacious living area with a kitchen, dining room, and family area. With an expansive deck steps away from the dining table and another view deck on the upper level, there is no escaping the envious views of the Pacific and Golden Gate Bridge.
Soaked with California sun, the glass doors throughout the home welcome natural light. For a dimmer setting, the lower level has a fun-filled media room and play area with direct access to the huge garden and half bath. It has an immense patio for all of your entertaining dreams, then the attached garage is simply the cherry on top.
With Ryder purchasing this light-blue treasure at the ripe age of 24, now 49, she is on her way to moving on as the home is set to close within a month. Nina Hatvany of Compass holds the listing.
