World-Renowned Architecture Firm Announces First US Residential Project and It’s in NYC

The boundary-pushing Heatherwick Studio, founded by Thomas Heatherwick and based in London, has announced its first residential project in the United States and it is unlike any other. Finally presented to the public with the name Lantern House, this stunning development will be a masterpiece on Manhattan’s High Line. With Heatherwick Studio’s other New York City projects including Pier 55 and The Vessel at Hudson Yards, they are continuing to shape the city’s West Side with sculptural marvels. Soon, people will be able to live in their artful designs.
Occupancy is set to open in Fall of 2020, so stay tuned because this building will definitely be filling up fast. Named the Lantern House for its gorgeous lantern-shaped bay windows scaling up the building, the structure is breathtaking from all angles. This incredible design inspired by the area’s industrial history creates unique, sunlit living spaces that feel modern and fresh. Through the one-of-a-kind windows that define the structure, residents will be perfectly perched to take in views of the Hudson River, the skyline, the High Line and Chelsea’s iconic architecture.

As for the layout of the development itself, it is made up of two towers, one being 10-stories high and the other 21-stories. Without a doubt made with luxury in mind, prices of the one to four-bedroom residences will start at $1.7 million. A variety of lavish listings will include private terraces and a selection of penthouses to choose from.
Heatherwick Studio will be teaming up with Related Sales LLC and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group for the exclusive marketing and sales of the property. Sales are expected to begin in January 2020.
