Billed as “one of the most historic homes ever to become available in the United States,” it has now hit the market asking $39.5M with Douglas Elliman’s Melanie Lazenby and Dina Lewis, reports The Observer. Located on one of the most coveted corners in the city, the luxe abode faces both Central Park and Fifth Avenue and boasts artisanal details such as hand drawn plaster ceilings, English oak paneling, antique fireplace mantels and hand-hammered leather walls.
