With Meryl Streep’s award nominations for her performance in Big Little Lies, the actress is currently busy walking red carpet after red carpet to see if she wins. However, the legendary star just got a win outside of the limelight, selling her dreamy Tribeca penthouse. After quite the journey on the NYC real estate market, the property has finally sold for a grand $15.8 million.

The penthouse was first listed in 2018 for $24.6 million, went through several price cuts, then popped up for sale again asking $18.25 million this past August. Across 4,000-square-feet of space, Streep had refreshed the home with new staging which eventually reeled in the right buyer. No matter how the walls are adorned, the apartment overflows with sunlight from floor-to-ceiling windows. A serene feel is also constantly present with sweeping views of the Hudson.

Situated in a condominium called River Lofts, the building as a whole has been a favorite of other celebrities as well. Gwyneth Paltrow sold her chic penthouse atop the Tribeca gem back in 2017.

Juliette Janssens and Allison Koffman of Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing. The Wall Street Journal first reported the unit sold.
