John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Just Sold This Modern Beverly Hills Mansion
Behind gates awaits this ultra-private modern home, which John Legend and Chrissy Teigen just sold for $16.8 million. Originally listed by the celebrity couple for $23.95 million in August of 2020, the stylish mansion may have taken almost a year to sell, but the pair still seems to have walked away with a nice profit. It once served them well as a place to live with their two children and Teigen’s mother, not to mention, it acted as the perfect backdrop for Vogue interviews and cooking tutorials.
In 2016, Legend and Teigen purchased the home from Rihanna for $14.4 million, according to Mansion Global, and brought on interior designer Don Stewart to revamp its spaces. The parlor is a showstopper with its soaring 33-foot ceilings and huge windows that display canyon views. A hand-carved bespoke ceiling from Thailand tops the room, an ode to Teigen’s Thai heritage. Outside, amenities include a heated saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a wood-burning oven near the chef’s grill and lush al fresco dining area.
Whether it’s time to wind down for the night or get ready for an award show, the primary bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling fireplace and private balcony, along with an official “glam room,” create a dazzling environment to relish in. There are also six more bedrooms, so space is abundant at this home.
With all this in mind, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think another celebrity might have swooped in as the buyer, but that is currently a mystery. The Legend-Teigen clan purchased another modern nearby last year, staying within the posh 90210 zip code of LA. This one, now officially out of their hands, was listed with Marshall Peck of Douglas Elliman.
