Kelly Clarkson Parts Ways with Custom-Built Modern Farmhouse in Encino

Singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson is finally breaking away from this swanky Encino home. The American Idol alum listed the modern farmhouse mansion in May 2020, originally asking $9.995 million, and it just sold at a discount: $8.24 million. A custom creation, the artist built the abode in 2018, placing cool details and lavish amenities around every corner.

Now in her eighth season on The Voice as a coach, Clarkson has had one season for every bedroom to be found in her vast, now-former home. Besides the 8 bedrooms, 9 full bathrooms, and 2 half-bathrooms across over 10,000 square feet, the mansion also holds a wine cellar, home theater, and game room. The design continues to hit high note after high note with its ample unique touches, including handmade wooden barn doors and artist-commissioned light fixtures.

It’s easy to imagine Clarkson in any of the home’s spaces, each somehow more extravagant in its embrace of comfort and chic style than the last. Three islands sit in the kitchen, opening to living areas lit by oversized windows with wood-beamed ceilings overhead. Outside, a multi-level pool, sleek firepit, and built-in lounge seem party-ready, not to mention the two-story guest house. A huge home worthy of a big personality such as Clarkson, there is more than enough space for visitors here.

Perhaps fellow Encino residents like Samuel L. Jackson, Selena Gomez, or former Voice coach Nick Jonas will swing by to welcome the new homeowner. Chris Corkum and Lisa Brende of Compass handled the listing, while Craig Knizek of The Agency represented the TV executive buyer.
