Mike Myers’s Luxurious Chelsea Penthouse Relists for a Discounted $17.5M

Mike Myers’ NYC penthouse is on the market again with a discount of more than “one million dollars,” something Dr. Evil would no doubt love to say. That’s right, the penthouse has recieved a $2.5 million trimp from its $20 million asking price last spring. After a break on the market, the actor has re-listed the spread for $17.5 million.

Myers, who is the mind behind the trilogy of Austin Powers films and the voice of Shrek, is looking to offload a full-floor unit overlooking the High Line in Chelsea. Spanning 5,622 square feet, the apartment on West 19th Street totals four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. It’s the quintessential luxury NYC penthouse, with the primary suite even boasting a sauna.

The airy floor plan made bright with floor-to-ceiling windows is ideal for entertaining—whether it be at the kitchen island, the dining table for 14, or, as temperatures rise, on one of the two terraces overlooking the city. “The genius of the owners of this apartment was that they recognized even though their furnishings and art were beautiful, that the person who ends up buying this apartment is not looking to buy their past life—but to imagine their future life,” listing agent Leonard Steinberg says in a virtual tour. Andrew Bowen of ASH Staging reimagined the interiors.

The building it sits atop was designed by Thomas Juul Hansen and features a 24-hour attended lobby, fitness center, and concierge. It is tucked among art galleries, shops, dining, and Little Island. Leonard Steinberg and Herve Senequier of Compass hold the celebrity listing.
