Mindy Kaling Lists Her Bright and Airy SoHo Apartment for $2.75M

Actress, producer, and screenwriter Mindy Kaling is selling her SoHo pied-à-terre. As one would expect, the sleek apartment matches its fashionable surroundings. The design, however, was not exclusively a “Mindy Project.” Designer Sally Gotfredson and The Studio at One Kings Lane helped Kaling reach a minimalist style, according to Elle Decor. “My home in New York is a little bit more sophisticated and minimalist, whereas my style in L.A. is just everything I’ve accumulated over the past fifteen years,” Kaling told One Kings Lane. Kaling has since sold her L.A. home.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo has a total of 1,157 square feet. Though the compact apartment has plenty of storage, The Office star admitted to Elle Decor that she doesn’t have an office of her own. “I like to sit on my sofa, with my laptop, look out the window and just get inspired…” Kaling said.

Although the apartment is on the market unfurnished, its neutral backdrop allows future owners to bring their own character to it. The building has all of the white-glove services a red-carpet celebrity might aspire for, including a 24-hour doorman and a fitness center. SoHo and Nolita act as the perfect scene for a weekend visitor or a full-time resident.

Carl Gambino of Compass holds the $2.75 million listing.
