John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Ask $18M for Neighboring Nolita Penthouses
Four years after being spotted shopping around for Nolita apartments and ultimately scooping up a penthouse in the neighborhood for a discount, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are looking to let it go. The pair, who have set themselves up pretty solidly in LA buying a new mansion there just over a year ago, are listing not just that one penthouse but one of its neighbors as well, which they nabbed in 2020. Atop the Brewster Carriage House at 374 Broome Street, the North and South Penthouses are now bundled together asking $18 million.
When combined, this mega-penthouse would boast two interior levels for a total of 6,164 square feet. Its 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms would cut more than enough space for the duo’s household, which includes their two children as well as Teigen’s mother.
Merging the homes was the plan for the celebrity couple. However, Legend told the Wall Street Journal that “we’ve realized that because of work and everything, we’re really mostly going to be in Los Angeles, so we’re going to focus our home-building energy and renovation energy on what we’re doing in L.A.”
Serving both units up on a silver platter, all the ingredients are there for someone else to create an extraordinary downtown spread. After all, such a project would also result in an over 3,300-square-foot rooftop terrace.
Skipping over this lengthy but exciting process in search of something in NYC that will not require work, perhaps the family will find a turnkey pied-à-terre soon. Noble Black, Jennifer Stillman, David Son, and Corinne Cahlon of Douglas Elliman hold the listing.
